Mr. Gubin is a graduate of the University of Maryland Law School. He was formerly the Chief Counsel for the United States Mint, a Senior Executive (SES) position he held for 20 years. As such, he was responsible for the legal affairs of that Government agency and its $400 million a year numismatic business. Prior to that, Mr. Gubin headed the U.S. Customs Service's legal division in charge of Federal employment law and financial claims, and handled the prosecution and defense of many administrative hearings. He opened his private practice in Fairfax in 2002.
